So I’m watching an old 1964 movie called Robin and the Seven Hoods. starring the Rat Pack. Frank Sinatra is a mob boss who at one point gives away a lot of money to charity and becomes known as Robin Hood. He opens different charities and uses them as fronts for counterfeiting Operations. A high society man comes to work for him named Alan A. Dale (Bing Crosby). So I guess this was the inspiration for the Archer episode.
As well, Barbara Rush, plays the daughter of a former mob boss who gets involved in the scheming and tries to take over some of the operation. When things go sour, she organizes the women of the city to fight back and take down Sinatra‘s operation. So there’s the inspiration for the Nora clavicle episode.
Lastly, Victor Buono, Richard Bakalyan, Alan Jenkins, And Sammy Davis Jr. all appear in the movie.

Interesting! Just looked it up and that movie is streaming on Hulu currently - adding it to my list. Thanks for the heads-up!

Great find. I love these kinds of missing links.
I haven't seen Robin and the 7 Hoods yet, but I checked out its Wikipedia entry and found a couole more incidental connections: Edward G. Robinson made uncredited cameos in both Batman and "Robin," and the original batmaestro, Nelson Riddle, also scored the movie (not surprising, given his long association with Sinatra).

Last time I watched it I was a teenager. Did not make any of the connections to “Batman,” other than recognizing some of the actors.
I remember watching movies in the 60s, and when I saw an actor that I recognized from Batman I would exclaim:
“There’s King Tut!” or “It’s Egghead!”, etc.
