World's Greatest Henchman

Post by Lee Kirkham »

Time for the seconds to come first!

Who was the best henchman ever?

What did he accomplish? Did he fit his villain well? Let us know whom you think fits that bill!
You won't like everyone. Try to love them where they are at.

Octopus and Shark from Fine Finny Fiends. close seconds are Sparrow and Hawkeye from Fine Feathered Finks. Guess its Pengy for the win.

^ Agreed. Pengy's henchmen always had the most personality for me. I loved Cordy Blue and Matey Dee, too.

While I haven't seen every episode yet, I'm pretty sure I will always rank H.M. Wynant as one of my favorite henchmen. He delivered an excellent performance as Frosty in his two Mr. Freeze episodes. He really pulled off looking and acting cold. The other henchmen in that episode didn't seem to remember little touches like H.M. did, such as rubbing his arms against the chill.

Sorry, I couldn't STAND Octopus. He was barefoot and always accenting his feet and hands (I'm assuming as "tentacles") and did a lot of weird body motion as if operating underwater. For me that was more distracting than strong acting choices and characterization. I consider it "pulling focus". The episode's not about you, Octopus. Stay in your lane.

That's why I loved Octopus. He was a kooky persona in his own right. He wasn't in your face about it, he did it in the background, even when he was just doing simple things like bringing some ink to Penguin.

So many! As a Clock King fan, Michael Pate as Second Hand Three was a great henchman. Hat's off to that wonderful actor. Definitely in the top ten. Octopus WAS fantastic. You had to look for it, but Vic Lundin (who also appeared in Robinson Crusoe on Mars along with Adam West) was doing some interesting stuff! The "Mad Hatter" henchmen were the toughest. Bar none. The two Hatter episodes boaster some of the best fight scenes of the series. In 'The Purr-fect Crime', stuntman extraordinaire Jock Mahoney as Leo, and Ralph Manza as Felix were great together! But the best henchman was Roy Jenson as Whitey in "A Riddler A Day Keeps The Riddler Away". He did such a bizarre Batman impersonation. Imagine if he had been chosen by Dozier to play the caped crusader! It boggles the mind.
