Talk to me about Stewart’s fabric Batboots and silk cape. These are new to me. Any pictures?

The first bat-boots for the show used the batsuit fabric and not leather.
The fabric was sealed so we get a good idea of the original color blue of the Batsuit but it looks like they could still fade.
The boots were lined in leather but the outside fabric blended in with the gloves, trunks and cowl.
The original capes as Adam always said were made of shot silk. Shot silk is when two color threads are woven together.
In this case it was black and blue.
They were the stiffer capes used early on.
In these shots he's wearing the silk cape and fabric boots...

Thanks for sharing that shot of Stewart's boots! Regarding the shot-silk, I think the blue/black weave (as well as the weight) is what resulted in such a nice "read" with the Zeus material capes that Scott, Wally et al did, in certain lighting conditions of course.Chuck Williams wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 8:49 am The first bat-boots for the show used the batsuit fabric and not leather.

Agreed! It has a "shimmer" in the shadows and hollows that gave it that deep, layered look.Ben Bentley wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 1:53 pmThanks for sharing that shot of Stewart's boots! Here are a couple more of Stewart's fabric Bat-Boots.
You can see the leather lining and they used velcro over the "soon to be gone" zipper cover flap.
