JazzInc pre-orders start in December and they released a lot of photographs of their 1966 Catwoman.
Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
Well, it’s a lovely figure with great detail, but still doesn’t look like Julie.
I believe there are people on this board who could make a more accurate sculpt.

Yes, so would we all. There just isn’t one that looks like Julie Newmar, and there still won’t be with this release.

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
This is a tough sell for a lot of folks at the price-point of these Jazz figures. The notes that were fed back from this very thread and multiple members here months ago really do not appear to have been factored into the revisions to this sculpt.
Amongst other things (including the bizarre choice of photo references for the cheekbones/overall expression), proportionally that head sculpt reads far too big for the body. Julie was a lot of things, but a Chupa-Chup, she was not.
We've said it before and will no doubt say it again, there is a different level of expectation at these premium price-points.
I totally accept that a $30 Mego-style figure is not going to capture a likeness, but in the premium formats that demand these kinds of prices, this is a great example of a company missing the mark. If Jazz Inc eventually turn around and say that the "demand" for this figure was underwhelming, I definitely think that the final likeness and read of this figure is absolutely a factor - Especially when their unlicensed competitors are putting out such consistently pleasing sculpts.

Ben, The people who wrote criticisms valid as they may be, need to post it on the JazzInc Facebook page If they want it read. JazzInc does not read this page.

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
Agreed. It is an astoundingly inaccurate sculpt. Newmar's distinctive facial features and body type are nowhere to be found in this figure. For all of Jazz Inc's promotion about their attention to detail / performer likeness, the Newmar figure is simply a poor interpretation and not worth whatever hefty price they'll determine.
If Jazz Inc is taking pre-orders in December--only a day and a few hours away (as of the time of this posting), I find it questionable to believe they are going to effectively scrap all of the investment in tooling, partner companies, etc. created for this figure simply because a few fans complained.

1. Someone could have pointed them to your board topic so that they could find out what fans were saying, if they cared;
2. It was stated that I, and at least some other members of this board, do not do Facebook, but the members of the board who do were free to copy/paste/relay the comments to JazzInc;
3. BT, we appreciated that you relayed at least the observations about the sculpt’s nose to them.
I’m no expert, but, to me, it looks like a detailed sculpt of an attractive brunette who, truthfully, looks more like my mom did when I was a kid than Julie Newmar. Just my opinion.
What Ben said is correct (irrespective of our observations and suggestions): at the price they are likely intending to offer this figure for sale, the sculpt should look like Ms. Newmar, and it simply doesn’t. That’s not attributable to the failure of the members of this board to follow and nag JazzInc on FB.
Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
JazzInc is unique from other companies that they will read criticisms, always promptly reply to fans questions, and will incorporate changes if there's a good reason. What they showed today does not mean that's the final product. With other products they still worked on them to improve them so they would with Julie Newmar. If someone feels very strongly about the Julie face sculpt, posting, emailing, or even mailing JazzInc a letter can make a difference.
With the 1966 Batmobile, the fans who made a lot of changes to improve it were credited on the box.
JazzInc replied they did more work on her nose.
Here is the JazzInc email for those who don't want to join Facebook. They will read your Julie suggestions but I'm not sure the response is as fast as posting on their Facebook page. Just copy and paste what you wrote about improving the sculpt and email them.

I did.
I even tried to paste a link to this thread but it doesn't work within their FB discussions.

It's not too late. They always work on improving the prototype.
Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
I understood Scott had previously contacted them. He would have more gravitas than I would.
While I would love to see them pull off the ideal Julie Newmar Catwoman figure for all of the fans who are into high-end figures, I’m not likely to purchase one even if the likeness was perfection. Their items cost more than I am willing to pay.
The question was posed on this thread as to what specific changes the members would make, and we responded where we were asked. We appreciate the interest that you have shown regarding the figure, BatToys, but JazzInc didn’t ask, and, apparently, are not even the least bit curious about what we said or they would make the minimal effort to read the handful of posts responding in earnest.
It’s not our job to do their work for them. They are making the item for profit. They have hired people with far greater talent and expertise at creating a likeness than I possess. I hope they do very well, but it’s not really any of my concern one way or the other.
Again, by all means, anyone who wants to communicate whatever suggestions were made on this thread, please feel free to do so. Copy, paste, post or email whatever I may have said, for certain. Direct them to the thread (again, as Scott apparently did).
We are happy that they are making 1966 Batman items and figures. We all want them to succeed. It’s just not our responsibility to see to it that they do.

The point is they will make improvements if people write to them and point it out. Hot Toys does not acknowledge comments but JazzInc does.
A lot of other people have replied to them and are happy with the sculpt.

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
How would one verbalize the steps they should take to improve the sculpt? For me, there’s really not much guidance one could give to them beyond: “it doesn’t look like Julie Newmar.” They don’t need input from others to come to that determination or to make changes/improvements. They need only look at images of Julie Newmar. It just seems self-evident.
Instead of suggesting improvements to the current sculpt, my advice would be to start over. That seems a better, and much easier, approach. Perhaps hire whoever the sculptors are for Mars Toys? Or Chuck?
Not speaking for others on the board. Perhaps the real talent and experts here would suggest something different.
For those many happy people who think it looks like Julie Newmar: JACKPOT! This is the figure for them!
