My display cabinet and props

Post by rsaffle »

I've never shared pictures of my main display cabinet. It's a dark room with a lot of glare but here it is. Ive made around a 100 props and was trying to make one from every episode but I lost track along the way.

Great stuff Randy-- I love all of it. Even got the late great Bulletman who gave me hours of playtime when I was but a wee guppy. I need to get my hands on one of those. Also love the serial Green Hornet gas gun. That's a great version.

BIFF!! POW!! WOW!!

Love it all!

It’s funny, my son and I were watching the Season 2 Catwoman episodes with the “Gossip Phone” and Batjets when I paused to take a photo of something I have never seen before and inquire on this site. Then I saw your post.

I am making the Gossip Phone prop myself, but I pondered out loud: “I wonder if Randy ever made those jets capable of ‘lifting a 5000 pound automobile 500 miles into the air’?” Ha ha ha! You did!

You were even able to duplicate the inside of the biscuit tin/book from the Bookworm episode!

Just so much fun, Randy! I have a huge smile on my face.

Did you use the actual vintage radio for your “Gossip Phone,” or did you 3-D print that?

BTW, I noticed the Lee Majors autographed photo. He attended college at EKU - just a few miles from here - and played football there. They shot the movie “Steel” (a Lee Majors vehicle) in downtown Lexington. He’s thought of fondly in the Bluegrass region.

Outstanding collection and as always great talent shown making these. p.s. Did you know the remote control to the Black Beauty was in reality a vintage TV remote channel changer and a small plastic camera charm from a gumball machine or Cracker-Jacks box with added toggle switches, antennae and dome lights of course.

No idea! Curious where you got that information from?

Nope. It's all a 3D print, even the antenna. I did model it from the radio so it's a very accurate version because I had great references.
