Jazz Inc, shows a familiar bust!

Post by Planejack777 »

I’m happy to see that Joost showed a very familiar 1966 Batman Bust as a potential sculpt for a new Batman figure! I’m also happy….as I’ve expressed this idea to the fantastic sculptor of this bust many years ago as a good idea to pursue. Now, the two of you sit down together and hammer out a deal so we can have a great Batman to compliment our collections!

Chuck sculpt is far superior and accurate than the Hot Toys sculpt. Hot toys made the ears too floppy and leaned more to the Japanese paintings of Adam West.

Go to the Jazzinc page and search for the author, Brigitta Brookman. It was likely part of a video, maybe Catwoman video.

Question? Isn't the bust/cowl combo that Chuck William made pictured above on the left a life size sculpt of Adam with a CW2 life size cowl placed upon it?
This isn't his 1/3rd scale head is it?

Correct. The bust/cowl shown is the WS2 full size wearable cowl and head combo. Not an action figure size one or even his 1/3 at all.

Okay I found the video. They're also going to make a seated 1966 Batman for their Batmobile. They showed the Batcycle metal parts. They want to make the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman but there's a licensing obstacle. They plan to make all three 1966 Catwoman.

I'm totally lost in this conversation-- are they saying they're going to partner with Chuck to make something like this (I'd guess no since Chuck isn't chiming in here) or is Bridgett or whoever the original poster excited about that really bad sculpt on the right? I agree 1,000,000 % that Hot Toys fumbled the cowl- if they could have looked at Chuck's choices it could have been incredible, instead its the flopsy mopsy ear cowl.

Hey Guys,

I'm just as surprised as you are by this!

We spoke to them about making the figures for them but it didn't pan out.
This was an image I sent to them under an NDA to illustrate the difference between my sculpture and the current offerings.

I'm keeping my head down until I can see where this goes.

Chuck, I think they want to work with you but for next year. Since he mentioned you in a new video, I think he really likes your work. He asked me who would I suggest for a 1966 sculptor and I highly recommended you. I believe Williams studio and JazzInc will be a great team.

Yikes, I would expect someone at that level to respect and understand an NDA.
To say that it would sour me to do business with them is a tremendous understatement.
Hopefully its just a misunderstanding.

Seems quite deliberate. Any adult in business knows what the NDA is, so I find it hard to believe its just some random accident or result of forgetfulness.
