Is this an authentic 1966 Batman figure from Argentina?

If so, why was Argentina so far ahead of the USA on having both a figure with an Adam West style cowl AND a red Batphone accessory?

I'm not the expert here but I'll jump in until one comes along-- I believe the item you're showing is dated © 1986-- my understanding (from Adam's mouth himself when I was working with him on the Fan Club-- and I think its in his book too) is that the show experienced a huge resurgence in Argentina when they started to show reruns in the mid 80s-- when Adam would do a personal appearance there he was mobbed like the Beatles circa 1964 here in the states.

That lead to a lot of Bat-Merchandise, in fact Argentina may have more 66 style 'vintage' merch than America.

So to your other question, yes I believe this is authentic Argentina merchandise, I've seen other examples like it.

I've never seen this, but I like it! I'm not a big true "vintage" '66 toy fan, but this has way more of a likeness and general "look and feel" of the show than the majority of the stuff released in the US/Europe during the 60's into the 70's.

Again, i'm no expert, but I totally concur Andy's theory, 80's South American Batmania seems like a good fit for this figure.
