Wayne Manor library wallpaper
I extrapolated a segment of the awesome Wayne Manor study / library wallpaper in the McFarlane set to make a larger sheet of wallpaper for expanding the diorama, or making your own diorama. It isn't perfect, but here is a low res version.
Sir Ben has generously offered to host it via Dropbox, but I don't want to impose on him. If there is an interest, I can send a 200 dpi version of the file (just under 10MB), or, if there is sufficient interest and Ben still doesn't mind, let him/me/us know by responding with a request and I will let Ben make a decision as to whether he wants to go to all of that effort.
In the meantime, here's a 72 dpi 9"x14.5" preview of what it looks like.

Very nice, but the McFarlane wallpaper pattern isn't quite accurate to the show.

Just in case, here's a link to BiffPow's playset backdrop for interested parties at full res. Handy if you want to extend walls like near the fireplace.

Thanks, Scott. Users may have to test print and adjust for scale/color
Re: Wayne Manor library wallpaper
Is the real pattern showing the face of a bat In an abstract way? Those look like bat ears.A. Pennyworth wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 8:34 pm Very nice, but the McFarlane wallpaper pattern isn't quite accurate to the show.
And in the bottom above the circle a jesters crown? A reference to the Joker?
Re: Wayne Manor library wallpaper
I’ve been studying it, and may tackle that. I think it’s just floral motifs, typical of the damask wallpapers of the time, but BatToys, I would like to see what you do with Rorschach tests!
It does not appear to be an actual wallpaper that was available for sale, but appears to have been custom made. The reason I say that is because I see inconsistencies in sizes and shapes. John and some others had discussed this thread apparently back in 2019. John had posted several very nice photos, and I have blown those up and examined them. To me, it looks hand-painted, or at least custom printed for the show.

I agree with the custom made comment. I know some wall papers were hand cut wood blocks stamps and that could account for some of the inconsistencies but this pattern has so many differences that it does appear to be all hand done.
They don't even appear to be stenciled?
Seems crazy to do that though. Why not just buy something instead? It's just generic looking paper.

100% my thoughts, exactly, on all points. There are so many differences in the patterns, minor though they may be, that I couldn’t figure it out. I kept trying to ascertain whether it was just differences in lighting or angles, but my eyes see too many minor variations (especially noticeable on the small loop lines on either side of the circular floral pattern and lining up of the patterns). Likewise, I wondered why they would go to that much trouble. Even if they didn’t want a commercially available wallpaper, wood block printing or stenciling would’ve been so much easier.rsaffle wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 6:48 pm I agree with the custom made comment. Re: Wayne Manor library wallpaper
When Australia's MovieWorld theme park on the Gold Coast built its Wayne Manor to house the beginning of "Batman: The Ride", they hid 1989 bat logos (and Ws) all around the architraves and exterior moldings. Not a good way to hide a secret identity.
"Holy nostalgia, Batman!"

It’s like a Rorschach test that just stands out.
