Hello fellow Bat-fans. Been watching the site for some time and finally got the courage to join.
I went to the Mid-Atlantic Nostalgia convention and had the pleasure to meet both Julie Newmar and Larry Storch (Larry voiced the Joker in the 60's Batman Filmation cartoons)
Both were very friendly. Julie even gave me pointers on how to best pose for pictures.
I, too, was at the convention and sat in on the Q&A with Julie Newmar and Elizabeth Shepherd. Someone asked Julie if Batman was ever going to get a DVD release. She answered saying that the lawsuits between 2oth Century Fox and the families of Greenway Productions has ended and that there will be a release sometime in the near future. She also added that she would certainly like to do any commentaries for the release.
Next week at the same hotel is the Monster-Mania with Adam West and Burt Ward.
That is Great news I also seen on you tube Adam West and Burt ward were at a Comic convention interview. Adam West said he heared from the studio that the DVD'S are coming!!! He did not say when but I liked what he said!!! Lets just pray that we get the DVD'S SOON!!!
Had a good day at the Mid Atlantic Show. Met a lot f "Me!" TV people, including frequent guest star Robert Loggia, F-Troop's Larry Storch, The Rifleman's Johnny Crawford and of course Julie. I was hoping to get a Catwoman/Batman photo and get Adam to sign it, but no one had one with both. I did have Julie sign my Twilight Zone book which was a bonus. Julie was very sweet, sharp and alert. Second time I have been lucky enough to meet her.
Julie looks great. Larry Storch really is a TV legend. If you are a classic tv fan of the 1960s and 1970s, chances are that he was on your favorite show at least once.
