Wonder Boy bust sculpture in the works...

Post by Chuck Williams »

Hi All,

I'm working on a Burt Ward bust to go with the Adam West bust.
Still a long way to go but it's getting there.
It feels good to be pushing clay!

This hair is just place keeping for a wig so I can get the right skull shape.
I'm thinking of also making it available with sculpted hair for those that don't want the hassle of a wig.

I welcome any thoughts
Chuck...

This has been tried several times, but Robin always escapes.

Chuck, if only every company that put out a Burt Ward likeness Robin statue, toy, figure, etc. had asked you for help in sculpting the features of his face. Wonderful likeness!

Even the great Octave Marbeux would be proud of how this is shaping up!

Do something bad once in a while Chuck. Let the rest of us know you're human.
I think it's a great likeness.

I echo everyone else's sentiments. It is gorgeous! Can't wait until it becomes available. This likeness has alluded so many other sculptors, but you have expertly captured his likeness. Great work!

Thanks so much Guys!!! He is definitely a challenge. Very subtle plane changes so there is not a lot to hang your hat on.
It helps to know that folks here are happy with the way it's going!

It has given me a chance to ponder the lives of young actors and models while I sculpt this.
As much fun as it would have been to be "Robin" as a kid, being compared to possibly your "best self" for the rest of your life is a harsh reality that I'm glad I don't have to deal with. He's a better man than I...

Fame at an early age is difficult to live up to over time. Some cultures do better with it (British 60’s bands). Even here, some stay in the business and continue their success (Opie), others get out and live quietly or find some success in other fields, and lastly some, sadly, don’t make it.

How about a new Challenge: Zorro

Here’s a sculpt of Guy as John Robinson. Let’s roll back the clock about 8 years or so?
