Manga Batman Lord Death Man

Looking to buy a LDM Manga collected paperback, and there seems to be many different versions, some with different corners, or color versus black and white. Any suggestions which version would be a) color, b) English writing.

Thanks in advance. They all are under $20

This is the one you want. Volume 1 has all the LDM stuff in it and English text. Originally these were all black and white (well, black, white, and purple) with some panels having red in them. I believe the US version has the red in it as well.

You might see covers in this style, but they're digital covers mocked up for the Kindle editions.

Agree 100%-- Jiro Kuwata's version of Batman is one of my all time favorites but this misses the mark completely. The DC Black and White statue was done in shades of gray and it was one of the best in the line-- this just looks like a grey super powers figure-- ears way off-- way too bulky-- easy pass. But neat that they went there anyway.

The DC statue really does capture the manga look as the series progressed and they began to shift more towards the look of the character in Amekomi (American comics) at the time. Still, the first appearance is the one that sticks in my mind, particularly the panel showing Batman throwing the Batarang.

I had the chance to read the first story last night. Some funny observations
1. I had heard that Manga books were back to front, not front to back publications (mirrored).
2. The surprised was the story is published mirror like also, so you read right to left, top to bottom.
3. The voices in my head as I read the story were the Speed Racer / Astroboy voices, especially Robin/Speed.

Once I got that down, the story was pretty fun with some clever twists. Glad I had a chance to read this.
