Adventures at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour!
Hello!
I thought there would be some interest in this! I have visited the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour in Ticonderoga, New York more than 14 times now...and each time has gotten better than the last! Hanging out with fellow Original Trek fans, meeting William Shatner, David Gerrold and other original Trek royality!
We are die hard 1966 Batman fans there as well!
I thought I would share some pics and a link to a Youtube video!
Enjoy! And do your selves a favor...make the Trek there!

So cool Mark!!!
Some of those shots look like screen caps from the show!
I'm sure most of you recognized Mauled Vader as the Klingon.
In case you don't know Mark, he is one of the best model makers on the planet.
I'll make it there one day!!!

This has been on my bucket list of places to visit for a few years, now. Met and had a photo taken with Bill Shatner (they own a farm here), and have visited the traveling Trek Museum (including getting to sit in an original captain’s chair). Have had a big Star Trek Halloween party, made props, even costumes (including a Kirk tunic made from the original green-gold material used in the third season, as well as a female uniform made from the blue material)… but haven’t been to Ticonderoga yet.
WOW! Great photos! What an awesome experience! You look like you could have been part of the show, btw. Thanks for sharing and confirming how incredibly accurate - and just fun - it is!

Thanks very much indeed!!!

Let’s see some of your models. I have a friend of mine who is a model maker and always appreciates seeing expert work to inspire.

Very cool Mark!
Are these the actual sets used onscreen, as advertised, or are the 1:1 reproductions?
it is incredible to see these angles, and how 'tight' the sets are.

So awesome Mark. I'm glad you shared these over here. You know I'm one of your biggest fans over on FB.
On another note, I'd never trust John "Mauled Vader" Whitt to fly the ship. Scary.

No, the original sets were destroyed long ago after the series finished. This is an incredible recreation down to the very finest details!

The sets were originally used for a fan series, then were officially licensed. (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek ... prov=sfla1)Jimmy L. 66 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 11:59 pm Are these the actual sets used onscreen, as advertised, or are the 1:1 reproductions?
