Batcomputer Art WIP
I'm working on creating accurate art for the Batcomputer to make a 1/6 scale model or such. This is a work in progress, but I always get excited when I can find high quality photos to work from. I usually have to take liberties on many of my prop remakes figuring out the details.
I'm sure this is old news to many, but I found out this is a 1950s-era Burroughs B205s. The TV shows of the 1960s used surplus ones whenever they needed something cool and Sci Fi looking including the Jupiter 2 computer from Lost in Space.
Also plenty of great photos online showing the original Bat Scanner, which I think has the same base cabinet as the Batcomputer.

I wish I wasn't so bad at lights and wiring these types of things! I pretty much hate that part. LOL

You may find this article interesting: http://starringthecomputer.com/computer.html?c=45
Seems this model was used in a ton of movies and TV shows, including episodes of the Green Hornet.

Not too sure those surviving Bat Scanners shown on that site are original to the series. I have tried to screen match them in the past and they dont seem to match unless they were altered a great deal. And I was the one who submitted the B-205 screen shots/episodes info on the Green Hornet series to that website...starring the computer!

Thats a great site Drew! Thanks for sharing. Tons of great TV on that list.
Interesting idea Ben. I will look into that. If you want the art before just let me know. I'm going to finish the rest of it too.

Only makes sense that the Hornet info came from you. lolA. Pennyworth wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 6:50 pm Not too sure those surviving Bat Scanners shown on that site are original to the series. I found a nice 3d viewer rendering of the Batcomputer on Artstation that I feel has the details very accurate, but the proportions seem a little off based on my screen captures. Would love mine to be as accurate as possible.

Re: Batcomputer Art WIP
Clearly vintage panels of the same make but some things don't match up to be screen used
Re: Batcomputer Art WIP
Thanks Pennyworth. Yeah the face panels have several differences. The bases look the same but that part was probably from some same model consoles.A. Pennyworth wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 2:41 pm Clearly vintage panels of the same make but some things don't match up to be screen used
