Completely agree. Not that great of a list as far as I am concerned.

I agree they should have called it something like "20 Best Batman Toys In A Store Near You Now." Or maybe "20 Top Batman Gifts For This Christmas," or something to make it clear they're only talking about what's available right now, not the tons of (often superior) stuff from Batman's long history. And even then it's like 90% action figures, and not even the best ones. Where's the Hot Toys and NECA figures ('66 and otherwise)?

The problem with a lot of stuff on the internet is that it's written by very young people with no sense of history. That's how we get "Greatest Films" lists that are dominated by movies from the last 20 years (not, in general, a great period for films anyway) and now a list of "collectibles" that you could "collect" in one afternoon on the internet.

They left out the 1989 Batman figure with the combo grappling hook/belt. I had that when I was 12 right after the Michael Keaton movie came out.

Also, the Batman 66 LEGO Batcave set.

Like most lists these days, it certainly suffers from presentism. I totally agree with Sprangfan.

While I agree it's a terrible list, to be fair, they do say " here are the top 20 best Batman toys available" (emphasis mine).
