Some fun at C4 Comic Con this past weekend

Post by batfan1705 »

This past weekend I attended C4 Comic Con here in Winnipeg and had a blast! I spent a good part of the day Saturday as our favourite Batman and added a new gimmick to help keep it fresh!

I also had the pleasure of meeting comic artist Christopher Guest, who applied his talents to an issue of the Batman 66 comic and designing the paint scheme for Batman's F4 Phantom Batplane! It was a lot of fun talking to him about things Batman and Star Trek!

Great photos.

I can't recall seeing anyone do the surfing Batman at a con before. Do people remember the episode with the Joker or do you end up explaining it over and over and over?

That's my buddy Christopher Jones. Awesome guy!!!
Love the Surf's Up. I haven't seen that done other than when Ruby tackled it at Dragon Con 2013.

Great stuff!!

It's Surfs Up Batman!! Oh man that's just too cool!!
I think this is the first time I've ever seen anyone cosplay that version of Batman.

Great idea using what looks like a boogie board versus having to lug around a full size surf board. ;)

Well done sir :)

Yes, I did not want to be carrying a full sized surfboard in a crowded convention hall. The boogie board worked out perfectly!

Fellow Batman Ruby Rinesko in NY did a great take on this gag, it looked like he even got the perfect swimming trunks for it!

I had a lot of fun with this and it was even better when someone would ask me if I had shark repellent with me...They almost lost their minds when I pulled it out of my belt!!! (especially the young lady who was wearing a shark costume when she asked for my picture....)
