Batcopter

Post by Krimzon »

Not sure why there are not many out there but always wanted a batcopter from the old tv series and all I was ever able to find was the bell model kit that matched the same model copter but for various issues with my hands I cannot put models together so after not being able to find anything I found an RC helicopter that was not huge but bigger than the model and with a little luck I could probably get it to look close to the one used. I still have to do some paint work on it but it's starting to look a little like the one used and with a little help from my wife I have tested this one with the wings I made and it will fly with the wings on so that's a bonus.

its not done and will not look the same as the one used but I think you could look at it and identify it as a batcopter, just ver 2.0.

Krimzon,

It is a very well-done custom job that looks very much like the '66 Batcopter. Congrats on the effort! :D For your reference, if you're interested in a non-flying version, Eaglemoss has a 5-1/2" long (not counting the main rotor blade) fully-detailed replica in a display case (approx. 7"x7"). It also comes with a cool info booklet.

Looks great, and the added bonus is that it does fly!

Check the wings so that they aren't too big.

If anyone is interested, there is a cardstock model of the Batcopter available on the internet. It is only missing the batwings. I'm not sure where to mention the name of the company so if the Moderators would please set me straight as to where I could mention the name, I would appreciate it!!!
Thanks

Krimson, BIF, who makes the basic heli that You used? I know due to a number of reasons, I will never be able to get a pilot's license, so building my own RC version is much more feasible for me. You've done a SUPERB job on Your model and frankly, due to constant changes and mods of a/c, Your version is JUST as legitimate for a successor to the Movie version as anyone else can come up with.

Cheers,

I would definitely look at that and say yup.. 66' bat copter. For doing a kit bash, you did a wonderful job. Being an o scale model railroader, I always love seeing efforts like this, especially when there is not a lot available. GREAT JOB!!!
