Wizard World Nashville '13

Post by Mjcat82 »

This is happening mid October. Adam and Burt are scheduled. Anyone going? I want to so bad. I've met Adam before, but want to again hehe. I really want to get my Batusi figure signed. It's currently on its way to me. Super excited to see it. Still holding out hope that Adam and Burt will come to Wizard World OH. Anyone hear any rumors?

I don't see them on the list for Ohio on Wizards site. I am happy to see Adam and Burt are both scheduled to be here at the St Louis Wizard con next April. Hopefully that holds up, I want to get my Batusi figure signed too!

Let's just hope that he IS signing this new Batman product at cons!

I hope there won't be a repeat of the Mattel Batmobile fiasco!

Wow I never thought he wouldn't sign it. I've been considering nashville if I can save up. Having a signing refusal would stink.

Well looks like Ohio is out this year for booking him. So sad :( Hoping to make the trip to Nashville. Anyone else planning to go to Nashville? Be nice if they booked more cast members at nashville too like in rhode island and maryland. You'd think with the new comic and products there'd be a big push for more of that. Hoping.

Off topic got the Julie Newmar Barbie today. LOVE her. Fun times hehe.

I might be there that weekend! I am excited that this is coming to my hometown! But I might have a concert in CA that weekend....If I do have a concert in CA. I might fly back and go for at least one day though!

I'm fighting the temptation to go to Nashville instead of waiting till WW St Louis. I've already decided that I'm going to blow the cash for the 'Photo Op' with Adam and Burt and autographs too of course. I never do those but I have never met either one so I'm going to make it count :D
I'm not aware of the story but is Adam not signing the Batmobile a Wizard World restriction or something?

Adam (others, too?) signed a limited number of Hot Wheels Batmobiles that were sold at a premium price. Due to the nature of the agreement, he wasn't allowed to sign any others outside of that limited number.

Thanks Mark, I didn't know that. I can understand why he couldn't do that if he was under a contract. I may just settle for my picture and autographs anyway. Lugging a bunch of stuff around at a con all day can be a pain!

Yeah...I think he / "they" lost money in the long run! Signing X-number of pieces for Y-number of dollars is nice, but signing Batmobiles for HUNDREDS of fans @ $50 - $60 per item would have totalled WAAAAAAY more than a lump sum price!...AND would have gone over better than "Adam CAN'T sign those!" being said over-and-over to true die-hard fans!

I sincerely hope that "they" consider that with this LANDFALL of Mattel, Sideshow, NECA, Hot Toys, etc., merchandise coming out!!!

I hadn't thought about Adam signing the new toys.
But I probably wouldn't because Adam now days has to personalize everything.
I like just signatures on my signed toys.

I'll be there. This will be held in Nashville's new convention center, and it is absolutely beautiful. Should be a great show.

Anybody have an idea who will be bringing the 66 Batmobile in for this show? If I can get in contact with them I'd be willing to slip them a few bucks to get a picture in the car. That's a bucket list item for me!

Bummer! I had already purchased a ticket for a dual photo op with them. Oh well, maybe next year.
