What I really would like to see is Hot Wheels put out a die-cast version of The Big Wheel that was popular in the early '70s. I never got one and it traumatized me. Still feeling the effects to this day. In my mind I just keep hearing "Big Wheel... By MARX!" over and over again.
“Winning! Spinning! Braking!”
I would not lament it any longer, Y.O. They should have changed the “Braking!” to “Breaking!” (Or maybe that is what they meant and if anyone complained, they could argue that they disclosed it).
I was too old to own one, but the kids I knew that did own them wound up with the hollow plastic wheels damaged and flat as the sidewalks shaved off a little bit of the tires with each spin, slide and brake move. I remember seeing several of them set out with the trash.

This is not a Hot Wheel but its still cute.
I'm probably just adding to your trauma by pointing out hey had a Batman version too!

Oh wow, too cool! Thanks rasaffle as I didn't know about this.
"Hmmm... I don't like the twist this joke is taking. Let us away! Let us away!"
Oh wow Big Wheels! Yeah that's my childhood. The tires did go flat and when you did an Evel Knievel style jump (especially from a loading dock we found behind an old warehouse) you were luck if your spine survived never mind the plastic bike.

Me too! I remember riding it until the tires became slick and then cracking open from the pavement friction wear. Also, the time I lived in an apartment that had a huge drop off grassy hill incline that led to a black top. We each took our turns riding the Big Wheel down the hill. Right before my turn a young girl hit the black top and flipped over and hurt herself pretty bad. I ran to get her father. I'm probably lucky that I never got my turn.
Not sure how we survived some of the stuff we did.
I think I was too big to ride the Green Machine when it came out. That was next level stuff. lol
I can’t remember if we had a big wheel but my sister and I did love our Marx “Wild Rider”, which had six wheels that and cranks that could turn each 3 wheel set backwards or forwards. It was fun as heck and apparently very noisy, according to the neighbor trying to put her baby down for a nap.
