Hot wax dip was awesome. Riddler always did cool traps IMO.

Most clever - Penguin's shooting gallery using Gordon and O'Hara as tools to shoot them.

Most evil - The garbage crusher. Horrific way to die.

Most lame - Either Chandell's player piano rolls, or Louie's lilacs feeling up Batman and Robin.

Most realistic - Bruce Wayne being shoved into a furnace.

Notice that three of the four came via Penguin. who was big on psychological torture with his traps, like these other ones: slowly sucking the air out of the room in S1, and slowly dropping them into a vat of acid in S2. While not messing with their head, one month after the latter trap, he was setting up the Duo to run into an ambush, which seems a pretty ruthless way to go.

It's hard to pick just one, so I'm awarding a gold, silver, and bronze in each bategory.

Most Clever:
Gold- The Joker's Electric Chair. If not for a power failure, the caped crusaders may not have escaped.

Silver- The Penguin's Shooting Gallery. This was one that I was really worried about just how they were going to escape.

Bronze- Catwoman's Double Tiger Trap. After toying with our heroes, Catwoman separates them. Robin is tilting into a tiger pit, and Batman faces a hungry tiger alone.

Most Evil:
Gold- Zelda's Flaming Oil. Innocent Aunt Harriet suspended over flaming oil, our heroes helpless to save her. If an impassioned last minute plea had not worked, the results would have horrific.

Silver- Penguin's Electrified Pool. Another one that I didn't see any way out of. Even if they could save themselves, how could they save Chief O'Hara in time?

Bronze- Penguin's Vacuum Chamber. Being trapped in a room as the air is being slowly pumped out. All the while, Penguin is taunting them.

Worst:
Gold- Mr. Freeze's Frosty Freezie. If not for the danger of freezing to death, I'd find this too silly to be threatening.

Silver- Quicksand Anniversary Cake. I think I would ask Riddler to find another way to kill me.

Bronze- Marrying Marsha. This would have been better with Catwoman.

Most Realistic:
Gold- The Umbrella Furnace. Even without his utility belt, Bruce escapes. A great example of how even without gadgets, Bruce Wayne is Batman.

Silver- Speeding Toward A Cliff. Another escape by Bruce. Strapped to a gurney, about to go over a cliff, he barely frees himself in time.

Bronze- Bomb In The Batmobile. If the Batmobile goes too fast, the bomb will detonate. Anyone else see Speed?

Catwoman's echo chamber was the sexiest, because Catwoman makes it clear that she doesn't intend merely to KILL Batman, just reduce him to a mindless slave by reducing his brain to "Yeuch" while keeping his lovely physique intact... you can guess for what purpose!

I have always liked this one too. It's always fun watching Catwoman throw the switch and then put her finger to her lips telling her henchmen to keep quiet as they slink away.
