They do not look good in the review videos, especially Batman. I am very glad I canceled my pre-orders!AndyFish wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 1:34 pm In hand pics of the '89 Batman and Joker are getting some pretty negative reviews, at least in what I've seen. I'd most likely wait to see what they actually look like before ordering, but truthfully I probably will pass overall.

That assumes people who collect Hot Toys--or specifically the '66 Bat-figures watch Svengoolie in enough numbers where it would be worth the cost of ad time on that show. Svengoolie caters to a niche market; not everyone is fond of the goofy horror movie host, or his deliberately silly overdoses of puns.BatToys wrote: Thu Jan 05, 2023 3:48 am
Hot Toys is very into Iron Man because that's popular with his Asian market. I'm saying for the American market many fans never heard of Hot Toys. They would sell more if they did more advertising here like on Svengoolie.
I've found that U.S. collectors of the higher end 1/6 figures get their information primarily from toy media sources, or have a history of collecting dating back to the early Sideshow days. That's how I found information about various figures from Hot Toys, QMX, Enterbay, etc.

Wall Street journal wrote an article on Svengoolie that said he had an audience of over a million. He might advertise Hot Toys for free as a segment on the show. I've met a lot of Batman and Star Wars fans who never heard of Hot Toys and they're amazed this level of quality exists.BATWINGED HORNET wrote: Sun Jan 08, 2023 3:20 am

This is really becoming a dog chasing its own tail thread-- and the topic should refocus on Beast Kingdom figures-- I'm sure we'll have a lot to say when they finally get released somewhere around 2035

Well we never got closure on this thread!
I ended up getting both Batman and Robin '66 from Beast Kingdom -- sad to say I got them at a ridiculous bargain price-- they are selling for a lot more now. The figures are actually pretty great, about the same size as the FTC Figures but without the oversized head FTC tends to have. They are like mini-Hot Toys figures. I'm quite happy with them. Once again the Robin figure is nicely done, even though I don't like the character very much I figured on having them as a set.

That's neat Lou, is that Batmobile the one that you put together part by part over the course of several months?

No, I have the Jazzinc. I did follow several builders and a couple of 3rd party folks made some neat accessories.

So, what Batmobile is that? Too bad it isn’t the Jazz Inc.! The scale looks good!
Re: Beast Kingdom Doing '66 Batman and Robin
That is the Fan Home Diecast metal Batmobile that had 2 false starts, but was finally released so,e 20 months ago. It requires assembly, and so far those that purchased it are quite pleased with their accomplishment.
I happen to find my sealed box of Beast Kingdom figures. Ordered in ‘23 and delivered in 24. I just sold one set to a Fanhome builder so he could complete his look.
