Any idea how much larger it is over the last iteration?
Comparison pix not available; however, the new version is 21" or 53 centimeters in length. The Amazon listing for the retro version indicates it was 16".
More pix of the new 21-inch '66 Batmobile from McFarlane. First photo from claudioscollection, and the others from mattsergs. That's the 7" Adam West Batman figure in the photo.
And PS- those pics remind me how much I really dislike THE BATMAN's car-- I thought the Tumbler was bad-- that one is even worse. My neighbor has a souped up vintage car that he works on everyday and it looks almost identical (and he's had it long before Bobby Pats cried his way into the Batman role) and it's just got no style to it.
Looks like McFarlane Toys Store sold-out. The new '66 Batmobile is available at numerous other online stores, including amazon, Walmart, Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store, GameStop, and others. UPDATE #2: Now Big Bad Toy Store, amazon, Entertainment Earth, and Walmart either out-of-stock or sold-out. Looks like it's still available (as of 10-25-2025 9:22am eastern) at GameStop and Best Buy.
dHunter on youtube reviews the new 21" McFarlane Batmobile. Review includes comparison to previous versions (see photo, left to right, 21" McFarlane version, Mattel version, and McFarlane retro version) and various Batman and Robin action figures in and around the Batmobile. I got mine on Monday and I'm pleased.
So that's the new McFarlane Car on the left? I watched as much of his review as I could. Seems like without a Robin and this not being big enough for Mego figs it's a lonely ride for Batman.
