Wow, i'm so out of sync now - I honestly thought these came out months ago.

Riddler would had looked much better without the purple boots. I don’t know what McFarlane was thinking with this. He never wore boots in any single episode. Sometimes it surprises me what WB/DC will approve when these companies put out sloppy or lazy stuff, or things that just don’t make sense. The rest of the figures in this wave looked great, and Riddler does too except for them boots…and to make it worse they aren’t even sculpted, just painted there.

As these pieces of Alex Toth art show, someone was originally envisioning quite a different line up for the Legion of Doom. It was one that was going to include Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy and others who did not make the final cut.
I like that artwork.

Good observation about the boots, which I didn't notice!

Todd told me 6 months ago he was going to make a 7-in scale lights and sound 1966 Batmobile. He hinted possibly a 7-inch scale Burt Ward Robin.

I hope Todd still makes this, Lynda Carter WW, and the George Reeves Superman now that he'll lose the DC rights in July 2026.
Since he last told me he has about 21 months to finish all this.

The interview where he discusses all this is on YouTube.

Looks like McFarlane's Super Friends wave two will include Superman (different face sculpt than previous retro Superman), the Flash, Cheetah, Captain Cold, and ToyMan. Pix are shown here: https://toyhabits.com/mcfarlane-dc-retr ... ed-images/

I may have to pick up Captain Cold. I always liked his look. Toyman is interesting figure too. I had Batman and the Batman red chase figures in my hands but put them back. Just no room for anything anymore.
