I'm Trying to I.D. the Books in the Wayne Study
Answer me this, my Bat bibliophiles! To the best of our knowledge, we have identified seven of the eight types of books on the Wayne Manor Study bookcase, but we need help with identifying the last one: the eight red and white books on the right end of the third shelf.
Top Shelf: 26 Harvard Classics; 12 Lands and Peoples
Second Shelf: 15 Richards Topical; 2 Fishbein; 15 Encyclopedia Americana 1963
Third Shelf: 1 Harvard Classic; 1 Encyclopedia Americana 1962; 2 Fishbein; 2 Encyclopedia Americana 1961; 14 Encyclopedia Americana 1962; 8 red and white Unknown
Bottom Shelf: 30 Encyclopedia Americana 1961
Can you help us I.D. this last book?
The screen cap is from the pilot episode: and the same book appears in "Fine Finny Fiends," on the opposite side of the room:

I always figured they used encyclopedias or something similar as you would get a bunch of books with very similar bindings.
In addition, I wondered if they just cut the binding end off the books and glued them to a piece of plywood. That would reduce the weight dramatically making it much easier to move the bookcase. These are props after all and get moved frequently.

I spent some time trying to identify the books but haven't figured it out yet. I do like a challenge though.
I give you big props for figuring the others out.

I keep coming back to the close-up scap daily hoping that something suddenly jumps out but so far, not much. I THINK the bottom word of the book title is American or Americana but then one day I convinced myself I saw the word Devices in one of the books instead!
Mark, is this a blu-ray scap or is this the one I posted on FB?

It *might* be worth asking Scott to see if there is any scope to do a fancy AI upres on the Blu Ray captures he did, in the vain attempt at making out any more of those titles.
Or the old-fashioned approach would be to show this to antique book store owner/collector?

OK, Ben, are you making a “Batman = Dracula“ pun here or was this like the dozens of speech-to-text errors I get every day?

The urge to lie to you and tell you that it was in fact a wonderful pun on my part is strong, but Batman taught me better than that. Bingo, voice to text strikes again!

Already tried. Not enough detail in them to pull more out.Ben Bentley wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 10:24 pm It *might* be worth asking Scott to see if there is any scope to do a fancy AI upres on the Blu Ray captures he did, in the vain attempt at making out any more of those titles.
It was all "in vein".

I used the latest AI upscaler to generate this image, but I'm not sure if I can make it out.

Holy hyperbolic premonitions, Batman!
Well played, Sir. Randy won this round.

Funny!
Mark - this is as good a title to go with if you can't figure it out!
