97 is a great innings by most people's metric. Barbara was very pleasant when I chatted with her briefly at the launch party for The Hollywood Museum's Batman '66 Exhibition a few years ago.

And now there are only four left (John Astin, Julie Newmar, Joan Collins, Lee Meriwether).

Interesting that the article shared includes so much about Batman. What a wonderful career.

Well, I have to say I was never a fan of the character or episode, but I will miss her. I always thought she was an extremely beautiful woman and great actress. She really, in my opinion, came into her own from the mid-'60s to the mid-'80s on TV. A special lady that shined in an equally special time period.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Nora episode either. I think Barbara did it just so she could "cut loose" and go over the top (and she didn't have the demand of having to wear a costume either, though she was still beautiful enough to wear one then). But she was a great actress. She was Paul Newman's leading lady in "The Young Philadelphians" (in which Adam has a small part at the beginning) and of course also was in cult sci-fi classics like "When Worlds Collide."
Her daughter, Claudia Cowan, who has been a Fox News reporter for several decades is an absolute lookalike for her, facially.
