Miss Kitka's Cat shaped transmitter, Batman the Movie prop

Post by rsaffle »

Catwoman's cat shaped transmitter prop
Batman the Movie, 1966

Catwoman pretending to be a Russian woman named Kitayna Ireyna Tatanya Kerenska Alisoff or “Ms. Kitka” for short, goes on a date with Bruce Wayne. Kitka pulls a cat shaped transmitter from her purse and discreetly taps out a morse code message that alerts her fellow UNITED UNDERWORLD villains that Bruce is in position to be kidnapped.

This is also my 1st attempt at a free online 3d sculpting program called Sculptgl. It lets you digitally model clay into an organic shape. I'm already using it to help model my next prop. I also plan on going back into this and make it a little more screen accurate in appearance. I started modeling this and didn't reference my screen caps enough. The shape and appearance are correct enough, but the original prop is much more blobby and rather detail less. Most of the time I go for as accurate as possible, but I think this looks better.

One day I hope to make this prop actually light up and make the sound from the film, it makes me chuckle every time I hear it.
