Bat Binoculars

Post by rsaffle »

I know the Bat Binoculars have been done by others on this forum and done better by using the real prop, but I still wanted to do a version designed & 3D printed by myself for my collection...here it is. Sorry about the low-quality photos. I took them with my cell phone with no fuss. BTW, I used a cool iridescent clear paint I found at Hobby Lobby for the lenses that actually looks pretty cool in person.

My next Bat-prop "in progress" may have never been made before! I haven't seen it online anywhere.
This is my version of a Bat Cliffhanger to build excitement. :D

STAY TUNED BAT FRIENDS!

VERY cool as always! Have you considered making a Radium Gun in Mego size for a potential Lewis Wilson Batman figure which may or may not be in the works?

Thanks Andy!

I haven't heard about that figure, but I would be interested in one. I could definitely make the Mego gun because I have been working on a full-size version of the Radium gun for a while now. I have the design in progress and have become hung up trying to figure out the handle and bottom back area of the gun. I have a ton of screen captures and have most of the detail as accurate as possible but those area have been hard to figure out. A Mego sized piece wouldn't need that amount of detail though so yes, it's possible.

I've become more of a fan of that serial recently. It wasn't even on my radar before, but I love it now.

Nice work!

I would love to see a 1:1 scale replica of the Radium gun. Its so iconic to the '43 serial, and the funny thing is that so many publicity photos had Batman brandishing the weapon, that audiences assumed the gun was one of Batman's creations.

Welcome to the club, Old Chum. I'm right there with Andy and love the early serial as well. When You get the 'Original' "Bat Ray" done, PULEAAAAASSSSEEEE let us know as I want to build one, myself. Thanks
