Cool 1966 Batmobile vintage kids’ ride spotted at Jungle Jim’s in Ohio!
Cincinnati, Ohio is home to Jungle Jim’s international market. It’s massive, and it’s fun - and there are two locations. Today, for the first time, we went to their second location. While shopping, I spotted this cool vintage 1966 Batmobile amusement ride. Only the fiberglass Batmobile part (no mechanical base). They have it suspended from the ceiling above the shelves, so I couldn’t get a shot of the top, but definitely brought back memories. Looks like it’s been very well preserved. Either that, or it’s been carefully restored.

Hi, Biff.
I live up the road in Fairborn, Ohio and I usually go to the Hamilton (a suburb of Cincy) store. Is the kids ride at the other store, then? If so, I'll try to make it to the other store and see what I can find out and report back. I'm going down on Tuesday.
Cheers and Happy New Year!

Hey, Larry! Yes!! We always went to that one, as well.
This one is at the Eastgate location just off of I-275.
Here’s the address:
4450 Eastgate South Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45245
We were visiting the Summit hotel. Interesting history. Originally built in 1949, it was the Nutone doorbell factory. Very nice hotel, if you’re looking for a good place to stay. Driving from the hotel to Jungle Jim’s, you pass Mariemont Village (looks like something from Europe/old world, Germany) and several blasts from the past businesses (a retro oil and lube business, an actual drive-through liquor “barn,” and a vintage early 1960s-era ice-cream stand, which was closed for Winter, directly across from a UDF, among them). Definitely worth the drive.
Happy New Year to you, as well!

That's very cool to see that out there in the wild like that! The car looks to be a really lovingly restored and then converted one. Great job whoever did the work on it.

Yeah that has to be restored, I don't think there was ever that much detail work put into the originals.

I have a 2' stuffed figure of Batman that would go well in that ride. I may just go down there and talk to the manager and offer the figure to it. It would certainly like nicer thaan what ever it is that is up there in it.

Too true. I couldn’t even see what it was, but it’s DEFINITELY detracting from that beauty. If you do offer it and they accept, get a photo of the transaction (and them putting it in the Batmobile), and then share that on the forum!
