I've seen the first two before (not sure where) but not the last two. Thanks for the find, Lurky! :)

I wondered the same thing when I first saw that picture a while back. Kind of strange. They ripped and were being repaired?

Great! And that pic of Adam shows what phenomenal shape he was in when the show debuted. And generally, throughout the series. In the 80's/90's many non athletic comics fan-boys referred to the Adam West Batman as "fat". These were often Kevin Smith type comic book store employees carrying an extra 50 lbs themselves. Any "out of shape" Batman film captures are generally due to the limitations of the costume, not West himself. No perfect Batman suit has EVER been produced. Ben Affleck's (still can't really believe that moron will be Batman) will be no better.

If you go to the Getty Images site you should look for Batman 1967 and 1968 too. The 1967 search pulls up a lot of shots of Eartha Kitt, Yvonne Craig and Ethel Merman.

One of the amazing things to me is how often they incorrectly identify who is in the photo! The caption frequently says it's Adam and Burt, when, in fact, it is Hubie Kerns and Victor Paul. I feel that's a fairly serious issue, since these photos and their captions go out all over the universe - I hate to see misinformation being spread (there are also a ton of mis-dated photos!).

The photos of Batgirl riding the horse are identified as Yvonne Craig when it clearly is a stunt person.

I also thought it was funny that Adam removes his cowl, gloves and probably his utility belt during this break, but Eartha has only removed her gloves. I would do the same as Adam as I imagine those items become quite uncomfortable after even a short amount of time. So I wonder why Eartha kept her mask on during the break?

She certainly looks sinister (and beautiful) even on a break! Maybe evil never takes a holiday! :D

I didn't specifically search for the 1967 pictures or anything, but just on the main page of Batman pics, I see tons of Batgirl pics identified as EARTHA KITT underneath. While the ones of Batgirl tied up on the lawn are from an Eartha Kitt episode, she sure ain't Eartha!

Here's one I've never seen before:

Maybe that's one reason why the "Adam West is paunchy" comments flourished. The network sent these out, with Adam incorrectly ID'd

These are really fun to look through! They sure captured some manic-looking Frank pics! And one thing I have to say after seeing some shots of Yvonne with the pointy mask is that I'm glad they went with the rounded one!

While they had some elaborate sets (the Batcave, for one) I guess they saved money other places with just two walls and a door:

It's cold in the Batcave :D

I'd say that Adam removed his cowl during the break because of the heat and Eartha probably didn't feel the same need. Her mask may also be a little more complicated to keep attached to her.

Love It!

I wish there were detail photos of the Atomic Pile I mean who would not want to photograph the biggest thing in the Bat cave!

I thought it was 'no smoking' in the Kustom-Kitty (lamest "design" ever?).

It looks like one of the dune buggies was refashioned from the surfing episode, which would fit with the microscopic budget the show had at the time.
