Our Batman featured in new TV Guide
The current issue of TV Guide (June 16-29) features "TV's 24 Greatest Action Heroes." Adam West on Batman is #3. Bruce Lee as Kato is #15, but The Green Hornet didn't even make the cut.

Cool! Thanks for the heads-up. I'll have to check it out.
I've noticed every time I see an issue of TV Guide that there's a page in there advertising something (I think it's a website of all of their covers) and one of the covers that's always in the ad every time I've seen it is the Adam West/Batman one.

Yes, they have recently posted all the old covers on line, and it's very cool:Gleeps, it's Batman wrote:I've noticed every time I see an issue of TV Guide that there's a page in there advertising something (I think it's a website of all of their covers) and one of the covers that's always in the ad every time I've seen it is the Adam West/Batman one.

They also released a special magazine highlighting the best covers, with Batman (of course!)
They used to have a link to purchase the magazine, but I can't find it now.

Fun page to scan.
The most obvious change evident over the years is the decline in artistic quality of the cover imagery--from Amsel portraits and those very cool cut paper images to artless photos and photo collages, if we even want to call them that.

Believe it or not, I still subscribe, but I no longer "collect them." They've made the guide so inexpensive via their website that's almost free. And every now and then there is a fun article like this one.

Yep, it still exists, but I stopped subscribing somewhere in the mid-2000s when they took out the local listings and it became useless to me.AndyFish wrote:I didn't know TV Guide still existed! Neat!
Here's the Adam West/Batman clipping:

And the ad for the covers as mentioned above:
