1966 Lego Batcave in Progress!

Post by Brave & the Bold »

Hi folks!

This is my first post in years but with a new screen name. Here is a little something I've been working on.

I am still tweeking the design and I had no idea it would be so hard to build an atomic pile out of Legos. The design has been edited and reedited to work around the inherent limitations of building with Legos. ;)

Anyways, here is a peek at what I've been building virtually. I do already have a lot of the required bricks but the ones I don't have I can buy individually from BrickLink.

I realize the ladder is too short. I'm still working on that. :)

I need to finish the cave and the Wayne Manor study and then it's on to the Batmobile!

Thanks guys. My son is into Legos and we have a great time building.

Here is what's going on "upstairs". The study was difficult to replicate because of the angled walls and this one, like the atomic pile, needs some tweeking. The grandfather clock will be removed from the final model but it was still fun to build.

At the rate I'm going, I figure I'll be done in 2015.
