I HOPE that alot of special features can be included. I would like to see alot of the reunion stuff on it, as well as new interviews with the cast...

I will BELIEVE it when I see it. Either in a store or on Amazon.
I'm a big fan of Batman 1966 and other Batman movies too. I collect Batman cars, figures, collectibles and have many interests. https://www.instagram.com/antman.cosplayer/

Eh. Who really wants DVDs of the BatmanTV series? What's the fuss about????

Someone HAD to put in a comment like this! Honestly... excited to see the awesome colors I saw as a 2,3, and 4 year old watching the original run!

I am thrilled beyond words. Now I can get rid of my collection of lousy copies I made from TV broadcasts full of edits and commercials!! I am glad they decided to issue them on DVD's and not Blu-Rays. Only TV shows and movies shot in HD look good on Blu-Ray. Counting the days until it is released!!

Batman was shot on 35mm film. The same format as motion picture films. The resolution exceeds that of HD.

Expect the picture quality to be as good or better than the 66 Batman movie.

Who said it was only being released on DVD and not BluRay?

Have you seen the "STAR TREK" Blu-rays? "Batman" and "Star Trek" were both shot on film and the Trek Blu-rays are fantastic. With the color palette used in "Batman" this has the potential to be an awesome blu-ray release! Those who haven't invested in the Blu-ray format should consider upgrading if these episodes get the Blu treatment!

Well said--the Star Trek Blu-Rays are incredible (along with The Twilight Zone)--like looking at the raw frame of film. If a series as cinematography-strong as Batman is on Blu-Ray, it could be explosive.

So far, few studios have released season or boxed sets of TV series from the 1950's or 1960's on blu ray. I know the next generation Star Trek episodes were painstakingly remastered to get blu ray. That said, this would be a great series for it - the prints look so crisp. I wonder if there is any work done before all the signatures are in place, or do they wait for everything to be square before any work, particularly restoration or enhancement work begins.

by the way, Detective Comics #27 - The Case of the Chemical Syndicate released by DC Comics on May 1, 1939, so May 1 is 75 years. It may have hit stands a couple of months earlier, but who knows....

Would there be anyway you could post the audio of that somewhere or link to it?

When you think about the journey - 7 years - from the 2007 Hot Wheels Batmobile 1/64 edition to the DVD release in 2014 and all the goodies we've been offered in that time - that's Batmania!

Really happy about that. Sounds that it´ll be a "full show" edition, and not by seasons. If that´s true, I hope they won´t forget some extras!

Yep, pretty much. Nice news, but until I'm unwrapping the plastic from the set I'll remain...skeptical. :)
