Lionel Batman engines and cars

Over the years Lionel has launched some interesting trains, engines, and cars. This year includes Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

2026 Batman Diesel engine

A few years ago they release 1966 themed boxcars. However, I think they have a great opportunity with the rare M-194 Jet powered RDC engine. This engine has a slanted nose shield when compared with a standard RDC engine. It is known as the Black Beetle

Also, they are releasing several versions in 2026, from the original New York Central version (my godfather worked on it) to Loony tunes, Star Wars and others.

Imagine modifying that nose and calling it the Bat-Train
