With so many options, I agree, it would take a stroke of luck to find the exact item.
Very possibly created from odds and ends in the old spare parts box.

A couple years back I thought about replicating this prop and thought it would be easy. (All the parts looked hand made) But i found the donor gun to be really hard to find and gave up. At first with that particular type brass trigger guard, I thought old military type shingle barrel shot gun, real or toy.
You may be right, just odds and ends from a gun parts box, could make sense and if you look at the picture of the trigger guard I posted, it does looked carved out and the trigger looked funny to me as well for some reason.
