Re: Corgi Club confirms Batmobile reissue in 2024

I just got notified at work that my Corgi '66 Batmobile was delivered. I can hardly wait to get home to see it! I am almost 60, but stuff like this really brings forth the kid in me. If it wasn't for this site, and all you folks, I probably wouldn't have found out this was available until too late.....

Re: Podcast Special Guest!

Some may feel that the supernatural is out of TGH's "wheelhouse", but a writer with imagination could pull it off....very carefully. A possible springboard could be TGH & Kato encountering racketeers that employ fake extranormal tactics to influence their gang as well as their targets....

Re: Burgess Meredith Anecdote

I can understand that. While not having seen everything Burgess Meredith acted in, I enjoyed the World War II training film he did for how to behave yourself in a foreign country (A Welcome To Britain), his performance in "Of Mice and Men" alongside Lon Chaney, Jr., his turns on The Twilig...

Randy, that's the whole IDEA of heaven... a place for nerds (i.e. people with creative interests/passions)!

But, I get what you're saying.

Re: Podcast Topics

If someone hasn't already suggested it, I think a great topic would be exploring the Reid legacy, starting with the Lone Ranger and how he ties into the Green Hornet. Possibly use the different threads from other publications, the TV show, prose novels if there were any. The idea of a family of crim...

Re: Dick Tracy Crossover

THAT brought a big smile to my face....and as friends and family would tell you, that takes some doing. This character is one of the many comic strips my Dad would read to me when I was very young. He would voice all the characters, it really brought it to life and started me on the path of voice an...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

I suppose, eventually, they'll start scraping the bottom of the barrel.... Alfred's bicycle, 40's, 50's and '66 versions, and a '66 exclusive with Alfred figure, one is masked, one is not so you have to buy both!! Gangster's getaway vehicles from assorted panels in 40's comics... Blue van that got p...

Re: PODCAST -Thank You!!

....And, thanks to both of you for an awesome start! Greg, I appreciate some of the personal information you gave at the beginning of Ep 1. I cannot say at this time how I can somewhat relate to it, but it had a positive effect in that it reminded me how creativity can be a comfort in times of grief...

Ummm.....

No.

Maybe it's just me, but...too low-quality. Smacks of "cash-grab" from BE.

Re: Kato Backstory?

My personal favorite is the one published by the now-defunct NOW comics series, specifically volume 1. I haven't read it for many years, but that comic series wove in the Lone Ranger backstory, the serials, and the TV show...even drawing Kato to resemble Bruce Lee as closely as possible. This series...

Re: Memories of Batman from years past...

I wrote this almost ten years ago. Much has happened since then...a divorce, a new relationship, deaths and births, moving, and marriage to my wonderful amazing wife. What I wrote back then was a much needed cleansing, and I wasn't sure I should share it. I hope anyone who reads it understands. Than...
