Re: Get Ready For Something Different!

Speaking of voices, I found it odd that Van Williams as Britt Reid didn't sound different than his Green Hornet persona. Maybe the difference is that a radio performer needs a distinct voice to distinguish the two characters, while in the live version, a costume and mask are enough. As a kid, I had ...

Re: Get Ready For Something Different!

Hey Greg! I enjoyed watching the episode on YouTube. The concept of "masks" as a metaphor and a physical object is fascinating. I can attest to feeling a level of freedom when I'm masked up and covered nearly head-to-toe at a convention (which is the only way I would cosplay, other than as...

Re: Robin boots - what a pain!

That looks great! Robin's boots are a weird design, but starting with shoes that fit her and then making covers for them is probably the best approach. Well done!

Re: It's Coming!

I listened to your first podcast on your Greenhornet66.com website. Sounds like it will be fun. I agree that you have a great "radio voice" for this type of show. You might consider listening to the Shadowcast podcast since it is the same pulp genre. Here's a link: https://soundcloud.com/t...

Except Willa is 5'5", and Julie Newmar looks like she's 6'5" in heels.

Re: Hadn’t seen these 1966 Herocross figures before.

I bought a set of these years ago. They are listed at about half the price on target.com vs when they first came out, but mine each came with a base that lights up. The eyes also light up, and they included accessories like a batarang and bat-radio, and extra hands. I don't think the Target versions...

"The Green Babushka" in "Where can I find gloves that actually fit, and who stuck this plunger in my pistol?" Must have been hard to find a green sombrero.

Other than that, it's, uh, fine.

Re: Kato 3D head and mask WIP

That is awesome. The size should be spot on since it fits the Bruce Lee bust. I have a couple of Kato masks I've purchased, neither of which are probably accurate. I'd be interested if you make them available.

Re: Do You Green Hornet?

I have a few times, but as we've discussed it is hard to get the costume right. Yours is certainly one of the best ones. I may give it another try when WonderCon comes back to my area in the Spring of '24.

Or I will just print a picture of you and wear that as a mask. . .

Awesome work! I think the speech bubble looks "bent" on the photo due to the v-neck collar, so it was probably straight in the drawing.

You never cease to amaze us all! Wish I had your skills and ability to create stuff. Keep it up!

Re: Any ideas to help create this Hornet Display?

I have no idea how to build anything, but the thought occurred to me that maybe a turn-table motor could be used to spin the image (like a record) and you could put a clock face on top. No idea how this would work, but maybe it will spark some discussion. For example: https://worleygig.com/2010/03/0...

Re: Scarecrow of Romney Marsh Movie on YouTube

One of my favorites. The Scarecrow's laugh gave me nightmares as a kid, but always thought it a great adventure story. Well-mannered Vicar by day, terrifying smuggler and highwayman by night. I'm not familiar with Russell Thorndike's original novels upon which this is based, but after a quick look o...
