Re: Batman: Caped Crusader first look photos

Going back to Miss Stanwyck, she would have made an absolutely wicked Selina Kyle back in the day. https://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/16600000/Barbara-Stanwyck-in-The-Lady-Eve-barbara-stanwyck-16690642-1067-800.jpg https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:2000/1*tlVBtERiN-mdh8W4Ixn...

Re: Batman: Caped Crusader first look photos

I agree with Andy and Matt. Timm might have been instrumental in putting the animated production together, but it was Dini who made it work with his vast and appreciative knowledge of the lore. Without Dini, Timm's stuff is a disaster.

"It was Dini! He waz da brains a da outfit!"

Re: Batman: Caped Crusader first look photos

I'm excited about this, have been since the get go on this project which seems like a looooong time ago now. I adore BTAS, it's my "other" Batman, for sure. I'm remaining optimisitic that Timm's more recent track record is not going to similarly define the shape of this show. Very intruig...

Re: Batman: Caped Crusader first look photos

I'm actually really excited for this! I love Old Hollywood-era film noir, and it looks like this show is taking more than a few pages from that playbook. It's also interesting to note that apparently this show's characterization of Catwoman is going to be based on Barbara Stanwyck's character in Th...

J.J. Abrams and 'reimagining'... Thanks, that's all I needed to know. Zero interest in this, especially with the continued cheap, cost-cutting animation that seems forever prevalent in all these offerings.

Re: Official new Superman costume photo

Terrible! Hollyweird just can't do it anymore if their lives depended on it. Hero films are over anyway so I don't expect this to do well. As for James Gunn, well, the less said about him, the better.

Re: Batmobile Nike

No, it doesn't work. For starters, the Nike Swoosh just about obliterates the Batmobile making it pointless to begin with. The strong white background doesn't fit either. Might have been better to make the show black with red pinstriping trim and a large, red bat symbol from the car door on the side...

Re: Bookworm "Delight of Cooking" cookbook prop

Very nicely done, sir. Now, if we could only figure out what soup recipe Bookworm used to impress Robin. "Darn good soup!" ;) Y'know, now that I think about it, this wonderful prop you've created reminds me of how when I was really young watching this particular episode I was always amazed...

Re: RIP Nora Clavicle

Well, I have to say I was never a fan of the character or episode, but I will miss her. I always thought she was an extremely beautiful woman and great actress. She really, in my opinion, came into her own from the mid-'60s to the mid-'80s on TV. A special lady that shined in an equally special time...

Re: Penguin Air Indicator Prop 1:6 scale - Fine Finny Fiends

Very nice and accurate prop from the episode. Love the detail. That last screen grab reminds me of when I got the blu-ray set and re-watched the episode after so many years and realizing just how much certain scenes or dialogue were "adult-oriented" and went right over our heads as kids. S...
